There are small habits that we practice every day without realizing their negative impacts on the environment and our world. By changing some habits, we can change the world!

REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE - To reduce, reuse and recycle, we need to pay close attention to what we are throwing away; opt for reusable items like water bottles, shopping bags and food containers, and make sure you’re recycling properly according to the local guidelines.

CONSERVING WATER - This is overlooked by many, especially when brushing teeth, taking showers and washing dishes. To conserve water, consider taking shorter showers, fixing leaky faucets, and turning off taps while brushing your teeth. Also, consider water-efficient appliances if replacements are needed in your home.

SAVING ENERGY - Simple actions such as turning off lights and unplugging electronics when not in use, switching to LED light bulbs, which consume much less energy, and adjusting your thermostat to reduce heating and cooling demands can make a bold difference.

BUYING PRODUCTS - Next, when buying something, be aware of the environmental impact the product may have; opt for products with minimal packaging, support companies that value sustainability, and try to reduce food waste by planning meals and using leftovers.

TRANSPORTATION - Finally, choosing sustainable transportation is eminent when considering how to make the environment better. Whenever possible, walk, bike, or use public transportation. When in need of using a car, carpool with whoever is also going somewhere near or to the same place as you!

All of these tips replace environmentally harmful habits with those beneficial to our beloved planet Earth!
